Chef Christine Scheer celebrates the holiday
season with some of her favourite flavours and recipes
that are certain to help make Christmas easier and enjoyable.
Please note children’s age range for the Kids
Class. All classes take place in the London Free Press
Market Kitchen on the mezzanine level.

Christine shows how to prepare spiced nuts, nippy cheddar
bites, mini tourtiers in phyllo, Parmesan Crostini with
cranberry chutney, coconut chicken with peanut sauce,
teriyaki shrip with water chestnuts and goat cheese
tartlets. Participants will be served the hors d’ouevres
at the end of the class with a beverage.
Limited to 20 participants.

– noon
Chef Christine shows how to prepare an elegant Christmas
Eve meal. The menu includes Shrimp Bisque, mixed greens
with Parmesan twists, stuffed beef tenderloin, potato
gratin, green beans and red pepper saut. The finish
is chocolate cranberry pecan tart. Participants will
be served the meal at the end of class.
Limited to 20 participants. Cost $20.00
Saturday, December 6, 2003 10:30
am – 11:30 am
Kids Class Age 6 – 12. Families will make gingerbread
cookie decorating, candy cane Christmas cookies, stained
glass cookies and no-fail fudge. This is a parent and
child hands-on workshop. Each child will bring home
a sampling of everything they have made plus a light
snack will be served.
Limited to 16 children and 16 adults. Cost $10.00

Registration for all classes is on a first come, first
served basis. To register, send in the above form (by
email or fax) and then call 439-3921 and ask for Teresa
Thorpe for payment details. Make cheque payable to Covent
Garden Market. No refunds or credits are offered. Allergies:

All children must be accompanied by an adult.
