The Ontario Lung Association will host its 5th Annual winter holiday event, The Festival of Trees, starting Thursday November 23 to Sunday November 26, 2017. This event will be upstairs in the Mezzanine.
The Festival of Trees will attract people of all ages with its fun, social and festive atmosphere and as such, we have a variety of elements that are appealing to all demographics…
“Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” Decorating Party Nov.21 (3pm -6 pm)
All tree sponsors will be invited to bring their ornaments and their associates to decorate their raffle entry on the Upper Level of the Market. We will provide hot cider, snacks and holiday music during this exciting team building event. Once decorated, the tree will remain on display with corporate recognition signage throughout the festival. Festival organizers will present awards to those companies that best capture the spirit of this unique fundraiser. Festival patrons will also be asked to vote in a “People’s Choice” category.
“Charity Raffle” -Wednesday, November 22- 26, 2017 – (8am-6pm daily)
Volunteer elves will be on-site all day, every day to help you with your raffle ticket purchases. Patrons can purchase raffle tickets ($5 each or 3 for $10) and place their tickets in the gift box adjacent to the item they wish to win. Raffle participants can win fully decorated trees and wreaths as well as a number of items donated by local businesses. A limited number of raffle tickets are sold right up until 3:30 pm on Sunday, November 26, 2016. All winners will be drawn at 3:30 pm on Sunday, November 27, 2016. Prize winners will be called immediately so they can collect their winnings on Sunday or Monday..
“Santa’s Secret Shoppe”-Thursday, November 23- 26, 2017 (8 – 6 pm daily, except Sunday to 4pm)
Located on the Upper Level, The Secret Santa Shoppe offers an opportunity for children and adults to purchase a variety of quality gifts for family and friends. Each item is priced $5 or less and only children at heart are permitted in the store! Each purchase is kept secret by our volunteer elves with complimentary on-site gift-wrapping!
“An Old Fashion Carol Sing-Along” -Thursday, November 23 (2pm – 4pm)
It’s the merriest Christmas sing-along in town! Accompanied by live musicians, you’ll sing your favorite Christmas carols like, “Joy to the World,” “Oh Holy Night,” “Silent Night,” “Jingle Bells,” and many others. $5.00 includes Christmas cookies, coffee/tea and a raffle ticket
“Soupendous Lunch” -Friday, November 24, 2017 (11:30 am to 2 pm)
Local Market venders will compete for the Best Soup. Event goers will have the opportunity to taste competing soups prepared by local chefs, help judges pick winners — and enjoy entertainment and other fun for $5.
“Breakfast with Santa”-Saturday, November 25, 2017 (9:30 am to 12:30 pm)
What holiday event would be complete without a visit from the jolly man himself! Guests can enjoy a hot breakfast with Santa and his elves in the food court. Tickets are only $5.00 each and include a pancake breakfast and a special gift from Santa. After breakfast, the families can join Santa to view the trees and participate in the other activities.
