Reason to Celebrate:

We are so happy to be back at the market with all of our farmers, bakers, and artisans! Saturday May 5th is opening day of the market and we will be open every Thursday and Saturday for the season from May 5th on! Everything at our market is grown, baked, raised or made by vendors so you can be sure that your products are coming from the source! Click to see who is here and what they will have!

Features from the market:

Pillitteri Estate Winery: Come out to the Market Saturday May 5 and stop by the Pillitteri Winery Table, and try the new blends of Gothic Red (Cab. Franc & Pinot Noir) Gothic White (Gewurztraminer & Riesling).

Made From Scratch: Dee will have Grandma’s brownies, lemon squares and her vegan option this week is Buddha balls.

Sweet Brigadeiros: Lots of Brigadeiro flavours, honey cakes, cheese buns and traditional Brazilian flourless coconut tarts!

 

Morsels : The menu this week is : Alasatian onion tart ,Mushroom and shallot quiche, Mushroom and Farro Pie ,Root vegetable tarte tatin, Ricotta calzone, Samosa and Mango chutney!

Cooking Classes:

Join us every Saturday in the market kitchen for free cooking classes with great local chefs. Our first cooking class of the series will be taught by Katherine of Growing Chefs. She will be featuring lots of farmers’ market ingredients in her class and celebrating local! The class is held from 11-12, no registration is required. On the menu this week is radish green pesto, braised radishes, baby greens with a rhubarb vinaigrette and a violet jelly! Click here for the recipes.

Live Music at the Market:

Every Thursday and Saturday join us for live music. Antony John will be kicking off the season at 10am -12 with live music on the square, on Saturday May 5th.

Hot off the grill:

Dan and Glenda are back outside with sliders. This week try local Woolwich dairy chevrai on top of organic beef sliders! This local goat’s milk cheese comes in a variety of flavours! Sliders are $3 each or two for $5.
